Funko has put a set of Pop! Rocks in honor of one of the most influential bands in the history of rock: The Beach Boys, formed in the city of Hawthorne, California, in 1961.
The Beach Boys “Pet Sounds” Pop! Vinyl Figures 5-Pack comes with vinyl figures of the 5 members of the band, which was practically all from the same family: Brian Wilson, his brothers Carl and Dennis, cousin Mike Love and friend Alan Jardine.
The set was inspired by the cover of the band’s most important album, the historic album Pet Sounds (eleventh studio album) designed by Brian Wilson with elaborate vocal harmonies, sound effects and unconventional instruments. The album was released in May 1966 and ranks first on several lists of the greatest albums of all time from specialist magazines such as New Musical Express, The Times and Mojo magazine, as well as second place on the magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums. The dolls are made from high quality vinyl and measure between 10 cm and 10.5 cm tall. They were officially licensed by the band The Beach Boys.
