Playmobil has a fantastic playset of the old fire station building from the classic film Ghostbusters directed by Ivan Reitman in 1984 with a script by the duo Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
The Ghostbusters Firehouse Playmobil Playset (9219) recreates the iconic Ghostbusters headquarters (14 North Moore Street, Brooklyn) with a red brick and stone exterior with multiple windows and a garage for the Ecto-1. Inside are three floors with stairs and a sliding pole, plus the red Ghost Containment Unit on the first floor.
The Ghostbusters Firehouse Playmobil comes with several extra pieces and accessories to assemble the Ghostbusters’ laboratory and office, including a wooden dresser and shelf, instrument trolley, tall cabinet with screen, table, chairs and bench, floor lamp, computer and keyboard, kerosene lamp, telephone, alarm bell, camera with tripod, probe, ECG case, microscope, glass jar, 3 test tubes with stand, newspaper, punch bowl, pizza with box, pans and bottles.
The set also comes with 5 Playmobil figures of characters from the film, including ghostbusters Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler, secretary Janine Melnitz, Louis Tully (Key Master) and the Library Ghost, as well as a detachable proton pack and proton laser, ghost trap, PKE meter to measure psychokinetic energy, and 4 “silicone slime splatters” to stick to smooth surfaces.
