Fable, under development by the Playground Games staff, is one of the most awaited 2026 games, but new rumors are not very positive for the action RPG.
The Insider Shpeshal Nick Baker in the Xbox podcast was reported that Fable can be postponed to 2027 based on two different sources. There is no evidence of serious development problems; The delay is due to the production time to be taking longer than expected.
Shpeshal Nick Baker may not be one of the best sources in the leakage industry, but he accurately hit the arrival of Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series.
“My information is that it won’t be in 2026. I don’t know, I heard from two different people now that Fable can stay for 2027, and that’s not ‘ah, the game is in trouble, all going wrong.’ I just heard that it’s taking a little longer than expected.”
We must remember that in February this year, Craig Duncan, head of the Xbox Game Studios, confirmed Fable’s postponement to 2026, so another postponement would not be strange, although it was not confirmed.
Unfortunately, there was no news about Fable at this year’s Xbox Games Showcase.
