X-Plus has put up for pre-sale one of its incredible plastic assembly kits in homage to the classic feature film The Mummy’s Tomb directed by Harold Young and starring the great actor Lon Chaney Jr. in 1942. The kit was created especially for the fans of Universal Pictures’ less famous horror films.
The Lon Chaney Jr. as Kharis in The Mummy’s Tomb 1/8 scale Plastic Model Kit captures the mummy Kharis exactly as he does in the film, including the mask with actor Lon Chaney Jr.’s signature look and mouth shape and the entire body wrapped in bandages deteriorated over 3,000 years locked in a coffin, which are released at various points.
The Lon Chaney Jr. as Kharis in The Mummy’s Tomb 1/8 scale comes with a diorama base inspired by the interior of the pyramid, seen at the beginning of the film, with hieroglyphics engraved on the walls and a fallen stove with fire on the floor to complete the dark atmosphere.
The plastic kit comes disassembled and unpainted, requiring assembly and coloring. The images show an example of a painting done by a professional painter. Does not come with paint or glue. It is officially licensed by Universal and Chaney Entertainment and measures 9 inches tall when assembled, including the diorama base.
The Lon Chaney Jr. as Kharis in The Mummy’s Tomb 1/8 scale Plastic Model Kit costs US$59.99 on pre-order from Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil.
