Despite the mixed reception of the first movie, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema are working in a sequence. After much waiting on the part of the fans, we finally had the first official trailer of the movie.
In the trailer, we see Johnny Cage being called to Battle for Raiden, with the tournament between Earthrealm and Outworld about to begin. The trailer also shows the return of characters from the first movie, as well as introducing new fans of fans. Warner Bros. It also shared several posters of the main characters, giving fans a glimpse of their visuals.
From New Line Cinema comes the newest electrifying chapter of the acclaimed video game franchise throughout its brutal glory: Mortal Kombat II. This time, the favorite fan champions-now with the addition of Johnny Cage-face a definitive, rules and blood-filled battle to defeat Shao Kahn’s dark rule, which threatens the very existence of the earth’s kingdom and its defenders.

Mortal Kombat 2 is scheduled to debut in theaters on October 24, 2025, with an IMAX version.
