
Monster Hunter Wilds is one of the best -selling games in 2025, but after the performance in the early weeks, sales fell significantly and were below desired by Capcom.
In the latest financial report, the company says that “Monster Hunter Wilds sales during the first quarter fall short of initial expectations. This means that between April and June 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds did not sell what Capcom expected.
This is one of the reasons that anticipated the arrival of some content, initially scheduled for September, and presented new activities around Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom is trying to introduce more content, improve the PC version and react to players feedback to awaken renewed interest in the game.
In addition, Capcom intends to continue to launch free updates and temporarily cut the price of Monster Hunter Wilds to attract more players.
Monster Hunter Wilds’ performance was below desired, but Devil May Cry sold more due to the Netflix series, while the Resident Evil catalog continues to sell well, especially after the announcement of Requiem.
