Microsoft changes Game Pass Core conversion to Ultimate; see the change

In early July, Microsoft announced an increase in Xbox Game Pass subscription prices worldwide, while also bringing a new tier for newcomers coming to the service.

Well, with Game Pass Ultimate costing R$59.99 and no option for annual payment, many subscribers to the service are preferring to choose the most basic plan and then convert to the most robust level, which also guarantees access to the cloud.

Previously, this conversion had been changed from 1:1 to 3:2. Now, apparently, Microsoft has brought new changes to this strategy.

New Xbox Game Pass conversion rate has not yet been updated in Brazil

The new conversion rate will be 2:1. I.e: This means that three months of a Game Pass Core subscription will now give you 45 days of Ultimate, while 12 months of Core will give you six months of Ultimate.. The FAQ in Brazil has not yet been updated and continues to say that the 3:2 conversion still applies — in any case, check out the new ratio below:

• Xbox Game Pass Core Conversion Rate — Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 2:1 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example: Any remaining 90 days of Xbox Game Pass Core time will be converted to 45 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time.
• PC Game Pass Conversion Rate — Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 3:2 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example: 90 days remaining on PC Game Pass will be converted to 60 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time.
• Xbox Game Pass Standard and Game Pass for Console Conversion Rate — Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 4:3 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example: Any remaining 90 days of Xbox Game Pass Standard or Game Pass for Console time will be converted to 68 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time.
• EA Play Conversion Rate — Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a 3:1 ratio and rounded up to the next full day. For example: Any remaining 90 days of EA Play will be converted to 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time.
