A Riot plans to implement Anti-cheat Vanguard no LoL. According to the company, the implementation of the security system would take place in patch 14.3which arrives on February 7th, however Riot has new plans.
Riot has new plans for Vanguard
As Riot itself communicated, the implementation of Vanguard will be postponed and according to the company it will arrive on March 6th, in patch 14.5. Riot stated that Anti-cheat had caused critical bugs when opening the League client.
In the new patch 14.3, Riot will also check whether your computer will be able to support Vanguard.
How will VANGUARD work in LoL?
VANGUARD will run constantly on “kernel mode” on players’ computers while League of Legends is open.
Although it only interferes during the game, the driver will work constantly, detecting possible cheating applications and blocking vulnerability exploits.
Just like in VALORANT, where Vanguard already operates, LoL cannot be run without VANGUARD running in the background.
