NECA has released two new figures from its Clothed Action Figures line in honor of the 50th anniversary of the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, directed by Tobe Hooper and released in theaters in October 1974.
The Hitchhiker Texas Chainsaw Massacre 50th Anniversary 8-Inch Clothed Action Figure captures the character Nubbins Sawyer, murderous cannibal, grave robber and brother of Leatherface. The hitchhiker comes dressed in fabric clothes: beige pants and a green t-shirt like the film and scale accessories, including a camera, bag, pocket knife and razor.
The Leatherface Pretty Woman Texas Chainsaw Massacre 50th Anniversary 8-Inch Clothed Action Figure reproduces the maniacal protagonist dressed for dinner in the grotesque “Pretty Woman” mask with lipstick and a dark blue fabric suit, white shirt and tie. As accessories the green chainsaw and a hammer.
The action figures, in an 8-inch scale, have several points of articulation and were inspired by the old MEGO figures that were popular in the 70s and 80s. They were officially licensed and measure approximately 20.3 cm (8”) in height.
Each figure in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 50th Anniversary 8-Inch Clothed Action Figures collection costs US$37.99 on pre-order from Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil.
