The Labubu hype continues to dominate social media. The small plastic plush monsters are often classified as “children’s toys.” However, the manufacturer doesn’t believe this audience should be participating in this trend.

The “Monsters” series, produced by Chinese toy manufacturer Pop Mart, has been one of the biggest trends on social media in recent years. Videos of the famous surprise boxes being opened reach countless viewers every day.

The popularity and demand are so great that Labubus are almost always sold out. There are also many online sales where boxes and monsters are offered at significantly higher retail prices.

Of course, there are also many people who can’t understand the fuss surrounding a “children’s toy.” According to Pop Mart, however, the dolls are not a product for children.

On the official website, under “Information” and “Age,” the rating is “15+.” However, the manufacturer doesn’t explain how this rating was obtained. In Brazil, we found some stores recommending it for children over 14.

Since there’s no official information, it’s difficult to understand why this information is provided. Furthermore, the age is not binding and is not verified. Therefore, it’s only a recommendation.
