Ensky has released a beautiful 3D puzzle in the style of Kumu-Kumu Puzzle from the excellent animated film Ponyo, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki in 2006.
The KumKum (“kumu-kumu”) puzzle is a type of Japanese 3D puzzle from Ensky where a character or object is assembled using a few volumetric pieces that fit together to form a stylized mini-statue. It works almost like a simplified assembly model.
The Ponyo on the Cliff Kumu-kumu 3D Puzzle (KM-96) puzzle comes with 10 3D PVC plastic pieces to assemble a figure of the adorable and magical goldfish Ponyo, who wants to become human after meeting Sosuke, a kind five-year-old boy.
The kumu-kumu 2-in-1 three-dimensional puzzle is a puzzle and a picture. Once assembled, you can take it apart and play with it again or display it as interior decoration. It was officially licensed by Studio Ghibli and when finished it stands 4 cm tall.
The Ponyo on the Cliff Kumu-kumu 3D Puzzle (KM-96) puzzle costs US$12.99 at Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil, or ¥2,330 at Nin Nin Game.
