According to rumors, Kingdom Hearts 4 could be released next year
Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced by surprise at the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebration — which took place in April 2022. Despite the trailer showing Sora in a realistic universe called Quadratum, little is known about the sequel so far.
In April this year, DanielRPKa well-credible insider in the film industry, revealed on his Patreon that Square Enix has plans to release the fourth game in 2025 — although the specific date was not mentioned at the time. He states that the game began production in 2020.
The insider revealed that he also is there a series or movie Kingdom Hearts currently underway — but did not provide further details about production. Furthermore, there is no clear indication that both projects (game and series/film) are related in any way.

According to Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts 4 will mark the beginning of a “new epic story” called the “Lost Master Arc.” This seems to go against Nomura’s statements about his retirement — especially since he is also handling the trilogy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Will retirement really come?
