How to access the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring?

To access the Shadow of the Erdtree em Fire Ring It’s very simple and the walkthrough basically consists of defeating two optional bosses in the main game.

First you must defeat the General Radahn and then Mohg, Lord of Blood. Then just go to the throne in Mohgwyn Palace and interact with the Miquella’s withered arm in the cocoon to start the DLC. With this, you will be transported to the Land of Shadows — but you can return to the Intermediate Lands whenever you want.

How to find General Radahn?

Facing General Radahn is no easy task, so it is strongly recommended that the player completes at least the Limgrave and Liurnia regions — and possibly Altus Plateau. He is the chief chief of Caelid, the rot-infested region east of Limgrave.

To get to the boss, you need to travel to Castle Redmane in the southeast corner of Caelid and activate the portal on the beach. Remembering that To access the boss you need to wait for the Radahn Festival to be active — and there are three ways to do this:

• Arriving at any resting point (site of grace) on the Altus Plateau or;
• Progress on Ranni’s quest (the witch from the Church of Elleh at the beginning of the game) until she mentions Radahn to Blaidd at the Siofra River or;
• Progress through Ranni’s quest until she mentions Witch Hunter Jerren to Iji.

How to find Mohg, Lord of Blood?

After defeating Radahn, you must now head to Mohg, Lord of Blood. It can be found inside Mohgwyn Palace, an underground region that can only be accessed in two ways:

• Using fast travel west of the Hallowed Snowfield Catacombs or;
• Using the Medallion of the Pure-Blood Knight, an item that can be obtained at the end of the mission “White Mask of Varré”. The character Varré can be found right at the end of the tutorial — he will be outside the elevator when you arrive in Limgrave, do not attack him, as you will not be able to complete the mission if you do.

The second method is much faster. After completing the mission and obtaining the Pureblood Knight’s Medallion, simply use it in the tools tab in your inventory to go straight to the stairs of Mohgwyn Palace — where you will face Mohg.
