Sony Interactive Entertainment presented at the California Court, a legal process against Tencent, around the Light of Motiram game, which describes as a clone of its Horizon Games produced by Guerrilla Games.
Described in the process as a blatant clone, Light of Motiram was announced in November 2024, with a planned PS5 version, but according to Reuters, Sony considers that gameplay, narrative, artistic elements and others are too similar to their own work.
Sony uses as an example some terms used by journalists, who have described Light of Motor as “horizon zero originality”, in a process in which it aims to prevent Tenten from violating their intellectual rights and requires compensation.
At the moment, neither company has publicly reacted to Reuters’s advanced information, but from the first moment Light of Mott is seen as a clone of Horizon Games, which has always raised questions if Sony would do anything about it.
