A series based on Harry Potter’s books is underway by HBO, which plans to adapt a book by season. Although official details are still unknown, rumors are in full swing.
According to new information shared by the Portal Redanian Intelligence, Harry Potter seasons 1 and 2 will be filmed consecutively, with 6 episodes each. While in future seasons there may be 8 episodes.
The filming of the first season of Harry Potter are in progress right now and are expected to end until May 2026. Season second is designed to start at the same time next year: July 2026 to May 2027.
For those who ask themselves about the long period of filming, it is due to the laws of child labor, requiring a slower pace for young actors.
“The first episode ends with young students and Hagrid approaching the hogwarts castle by boat for the first time, to give an idea of how the season can be rhythmic and structured,” says the portal.
In addition, the portal notes that HBO has already chosen the actor to play Voldemort in the series, as the character will appear in several episodes, but HBO does not officially announce who will interpret him and wants to keep it secret until the season’s screening.
