Halo Infinite comes to an end in a way that is difficult to admit. After four years of trying to find its place, the game now says goodbye with Operation: Infinite, an update that feels as much like gratitude as it does farewell. It’s that bittersweet feeling of seeing something we’ve followed for years closing its doors slowly, but with dignity.

From now on, the game enters a slower phase, but there are still new things for you to try. Operation: Infinite brings a free pass of 100 levels that you complete just by playing, whether in normal multiplayer mode or in Custom Games. Those who want to unlock even more cosmetics also have the option of the Premium Pass.

There are also more than 200 new customization items, such as armor, coatings, accessories, and the usual, which give the game a final visual touch. Career ranks continue to evolve and you even earn double Spartan points when you complete daily challenges.

Even though this is the last major operation, competitive mode is not being abandoned: ranking resets continue, as do ranked playlists. In other words, the game doesn’t disappear, it just stops receiving major updates.

The farewell also marks a turning point for the studio. The former 343 Industries, now Halo Studios, is officially looking to the future and focusing on new projects, including the remake of Halo: Campaign Evolved.
