Usually Microsoft does not disclose how many copies its games sold and this applies to Halo, its main franchise that has won millions of fans around the world, so it certainly sold it very well.

However, we may have a sense of sales through information mentioned by developers in their LinkedIn profiles, as in the recent case of Chris Haluke, former chief of the 343 Industries.

As mentioned in its profile, Halo 4 and Halo 5 reached the mark of 10 million copies sold each. It is noteworthy that the data must be outdated, as Chris Haluke left 343 in 2016.

“Chris Haluke led a large-scale development of Halo 4 and Halo 5, managing a multidisciplinary team with more than 150 people from pre-production to launch, resulting in the delivery of two AAA titles that sold almost 10 million copies each worldwide.”

If the number is correct, make Halo 5 the best selling game of all time on Xbox One. In the wiki it is revealed that PUBG: Battlegrounds leads in first position with 9 million.

Halo 4 was released in 2012, while Halo 5: Guardians in 2015.
