Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity is the newest expansion on October 28

Today, developer Arenanet announced Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternitythe sixth expansion of acclaimed MMORPG Guild Wars 2. With launch scheduled for October 28, 2025, Visions of Eternity It will bring a number of unpublished content to veteran and newcomers.

Among the news, players can expect a new ground in the Homestead (Homestead), unpublished and improved skills for the Skimmer mount, a new history set in the Castor’s island kingdom, two unpublished explorable maps and a new elite specialization for each of the game’s nine playable professions.

The three updates planned for 2026 will be free for expansion owners and will include additional content such as two new maps, raid meetings, new convergence, unpublished rewards (including new items in the Wizard House), history extensions, new legendary and more equipment.

The new narrative of Visions of Eternity It begins with rumors about a legendary island, full of Ley’s magic and energy, told among Tyria sailors. The Tyrian alliance discovers that the Inquest – an asura faction of greedy researchers – is looking for a berry. And when the Inquest is involved, problems are not slow to arise. Main news of expansion:

• New Maps: Two exploitable maps arrive at the launch, with two others scheduled for future updates.

• Elite specializations: Each of the nine playable professions will receive a new specialization, with unpublished skills and traits to expand build options. A public beta will be available from August 20 to 27 for those who want to test.

• Improved Skimmer mount: The Aquatic Riding will have new exploration and combat skills linked to the new Mastery Lines of Castor.

• New group content: Distorted magic creatures inhabit the bemate and will be the focus of instant PVE challenges for 10 players groups, available in future updates.

• New housing ground: Turn the wreckage of a wreck ship into a seaside paradise, with full control over furniture, structure and decoration. Layouts can be shared with other players.

• Legendary equipment: The expansion will include a legendary weapon and aquatic respirator at the launch, as well as a ring, accessory and another legendary weapon in later updates. New sets of armor and weapons, as well as rewards in the House of Magi, complement the magic aesthetics of the new region.
