However, support for the game on Valve’s laptop appears to have come to an end due to an anti-cheat system recently launched by Rockstar in GTA Online.
This happened because the studio added the BattlEye anti-cheat to GTA Onlinewhich ended up impacting the compatibility of GTA 5 with the Steam Deck. Now, the game that was extremely popular on the platform is classified as “not supported” on Valve’s handheld.

Rockstar’s official FAQ also warns that players will still “be able to enjoy the story mode of GTA 5but they will not be able to play GTA Online“.
