Silver Buffalo has a spooky thermal travel mug created especially for fans of the long-running Friday the 13th slasher horror film franchise, which started in 1980 and spans no less than 12 feature films.
The Jason Mask Friday The 13th Stainless Steel Travel Cup mug has an all-black background and is decorated on both sides with illustrations of the iconic hockey mask worn by Jason Voorhees, the infamous maniac from Camp Crystal Lake, and the franchise logo in red. Comes with a reusable straw and secure screw cap.
The first hockey mask only appeared in the third film, “Friday the 13th – Part 3” (1982), when Jason takes it from one of his victims, the prankster teenager Shelly. The mask was created behind the scenes by Martin Jay Sadoff, a special effects supervisor and hockey fan, who brought a Detroit Red Wings goalie mask to the set. The director instantly liked it and it was adapted to the actor’s face, being enlarged and receiving red triangles and holes.
The thermal mug is made from stainless steel to keep your drink hot for up to 4 hours or cold for up to 18 hours and fits perfectly in your car’s cup holder. It is officially licensed and has a huge capacity of approximately 1.2 liters (40 oz) of liquid.
The Jason Mask Friday The 13th Stainless Steel Travel Cup is $29.99 at Hot Topic or Amazon.com.
