Days ago, Dying Light: The Beast had its release date postponed in one month for additional polishing, aiming to deliver an enhanced experience to fans.
At the same time, a portion of the community feared that the game would repeat the unmelling microtransation and virtual currencies system available in Dying Light 2.
However, franchise director Tymon Smektala confirmed on social networks that microtransations or virtual currencies are not planned for Dying Light: The Beast.
In Dying Light 2, DL Points required players to buy more than necessary to purchase cosmetic items, which generated discontent in the community.
The news was well received by fans, who criticized the introduction of DL Points in Dying Light 2, implemented a year and a half after release, seen as a greedy practice by many.
Dying Light: The Beast will be officially released on September 19. The game will be available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S | X at launch, with versions for PS4 and Xbox One being planned for the future.
Owners of Dying Light 2: Stay Human will receive The Beast for free, as part of Techland’s commitment to the community.
