After re-releasing the original trilogy of Resident EvilGOG brought even more news for retro game fans last Thursday (08). As a surprise, id Software relaunched Doom + Doom II on the platform, also bringing a series of extra content and playback improvements to the classic PC duology.
Developed by John Carmack and John Romero, two legends of the gaming industry, the first Doom was released in 1993 for PC, paving the way for the beginning of the FPS era.
The sequel, also critically acclaimed, came in 1994. Now, both titles are available on GOG in their definitive and enhanced versions with a host of extras for R$ 49,99. Check out the trailer:
What improvements has id Software brought to Doom + Doom II?
In addition to updated visuals, support for modern controls, and top community mods included in the package, the duology Doom + Doom II It also features 60 FPS support, restored original music, and more. Check out what’s included in the collection package below:

- Improved performance with multi-threaded rendering and support for up to 4K resolution;
