Aniplex, Sega and CyberConnect2 launched a pre-launch trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu on Yaiba-The Hinokami Chronicles 2, highlighting the news of the game.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu on Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on August 1, 2025 in Japan and August 5, 2025 in the West.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will cover several arches of the work, from the entertainment district arc to the Hashiras training arc.

It has also been confirmed that there will be a pass of infinity castle arc characters after release, and Muzan Kibutsuji will be added as a playable vs mode in a free update.
The History mode in The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will continue where the previous game has stopped. This time, players will be able to revive many exciting moments from the ‘Entertainment District’ arches, ‘The Blacklel Village’ and ‘Hashira Training’.
There is also the VS mode, which will feature the largest playable cast so far, with over 40 characters available, including Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji, two hashira.
All characters in the original game will also be present in the sequence, including demons added in free post-release updates and paid DLC characters.
