Surgent Studios and PocketPair Publishing officially announced that Dead Take, their next psychological horror game, will be released to PC on July 31 on Steam and Epic Games Store platforms.
Along with the release date, the full cast was released, including Jane Perry (Baldur’s Gate 3, Dragon Age: The Veilguard) and Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077, V/H/S/Beyond).

“Dead Take is about actors. So we needed actors who really experienced this,” said Abubakar Salim, creative director of Dead Take. “It’s a game about the ecstasy of ambition and the rot behind it. The lies we tell ourselves to get to the spotlight, and the monsters we became to stay there. Everyone in this cast has already felt that pressure. That was a chance to extravate it.”

Set in a luxurious but isolated mansion in Hollywood hills, Dead Take puts players in the skin of an actor (Neil Newbon as Chase Lowry) who seeks his missing friend (Ben Starr as Vinny Monroe) after an extravagant party in Hollywood.
As they face Escape Room-style puzzles and add videos found along the way, players will discover the darkest secrets behind the entertainment industry’s bright facade.
Dead Take is published by PocketPair Publishing (Palworld, Craftopia) and is scheduled for July 31 on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
