Mondo has put up for pre-order the first official toys of the animated series Daria, which tells the adventures of an intelligent and misanthropic teenager in the fictional suburban town of Lawndale.
The series is a spin-off of Beavis and Butt-Head, in which Daria appears as a recurring character, originally aired on MTV from 1997 to 2002 and was created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis Lynn under license from Mike Judge.
The Daria and Jane Vinyl Mondo Figure Set of 2 comes with the two best friends from the series, the bitter protagonist Daria Morgendorffer and sarcastic Jane Lane with sculpted clothes and two interchangeable heads with different expressions for each: neutral and smiling.
In addition, the dolls also come with extra arms in different positions and accessories taken from the series, including two Daria glasses (normal or flaming), Boombox stereo, Mystic Spiral CD and Polaroid instant camera.
The figures measure approximately 20.3 cm (8″) tall, are officially licensed by MTV and are made from PVC/ABS plastic with meticulous painting to imitate the cartoon’s features. The duo was designed by artist Leanne Hannah and sculpted by Vivian Coscia.
The double set Daria and Jane Vinyl Mondo Figure Set of 2 costs US$124.99 at Entertainment Earth, which accepts orders from Brazil.
