One of the greatest players in the history of Astralis is officially outside the organization. On the afternoon of this Wednesday (22), gla1ve and Astralis officially announced their separation. The player has been on the bench since June 2023.

On X, formerly Twitter, gla1ve wrote an emotional text about his departure. The player compared the organization to a family and recalled all the glories they had together. In the end, he left the future undefined.

It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for the last seven years I’ve spent with Astralis. They will always hold a special place in my heart as a team where we were able to reach new heights and create something never seen before. What we achieved and experienced as a team is something I will never forget. It’s like saying goodbye to a family that has always been by my side, so a big thank you to the fans, the team that worked tirelessly behind the scenes and the teammates with whom I went through thick and thin at Astralis! I have learned many valuable lessons over the past 2 years that I will take with me into the next part of my journey. I can’t wait to share what the next chapter of my career entails.

Lukas, you will forever be part of Astralis, the Astralis Family and Astralis history as one of the greatest of all time.

At Astralis, gla1ve worked for seven years: he arrived at the organization in August 2016, when he was hired from Heroic. With Astralis, the 28-year-old player won numerous titles, including four Majors: ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, FACEIT Major: London 2018, IEM Katowice Major 2019 e StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. Furthermore, he was champion of ECS Season 2, ESL Pro League Season 7 e BLAST Pro Series Global Final 2019.
