UFL is the new free soccer game that promises to win over fans of the genre — who already have EA FC e eFootball as options currently. The game has a generous sponsorship from Cristiano Ronaldo and was originally scheduled to arrive on September 12th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but now it has been postponed to December 5th.

Although it is free, there is a pre-sale package of UFL on the PS Store and Microsoft Store, which grants early access to players starting November 28. It costs R$79.90 and offers the following extras:

  • Seven-day early access;
  • Exclusive customization items: Lovorika’s shirt, Zlato’s boots and Zlato’s gloves.
    Lavalampe;
  • Redeemer Stadium;
  • 20,000,000 in Game Credits;
  • The best possible preparation.

UFL beta reportedly brought together around 2 million players

In a post on X (formerly Twitter, which is now blocked in Brazil), the studio revealed that the open beta of UFL was attended by more than 2 million players, who offered valuable feedback. This was one of the reasons why postponement of the free football game.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but after analyzing the feedback and a lot of data from the game, we’ve decided to reschedule the launch of UFL“, the statement said on social media. “We would like to explain why we have made this decision and what it means for you. While we could have released the game as scheduled, we believe that taking a little more time will allow us to provide the best experience possible.”

“Most of the issues relate to polishing and tuning features that contribute to the overall feel of the game. We understand that there is no recipe for a perfect football game, but it is essential for us to ensure that the game meets our high standards — and your expectations,” the statement concluded.
