The soulslike genre has been growing steadily — and there’s another major contender coming to PC and consoles this year. Developed by A44 Games, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn It was originally scheduled for 2023, but will be released this Thursday (18) for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, also arriving on day one on Game Pass.

Developed by the same people responsible for Ashen, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn drops players into the world of Kian, where protagonist Nor Vanek sets out on a journey to face angry gods who have invaded the world. Similar to its 2018 older brother, the new game from the New Zealand studio will feature combat inspired by the soulslike genre — although it will be much more accessible.
