By surprise, Xbox Game Pass receives three classic PS1 games in remake version

After Microsoft completed the acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October last year, many doubts arose about how the Xbox owner would handle the publisher’s catalog on Game Pass. Well, after the acclaimed debut of Black Ops 6 Last month, another big name from the company already had a date to arrive at the service.

After some not-so-subtle clues on the official X profile (formerly Twitter), Microsoft confirmed on the social network that Spyro Reignited Trilogy is now available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The title can be played on PC, consoles and also via the cloud.

After the arrival of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to Xbox Game Pass in August, it was only a matter of time before Spyro Reignited Trilogy was also launched on the service. Both titles are remakes of the original PS1 trilogies — so nostalgia is not lacking in the package.

The collection consists of three games and brings back Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage e Spyro: Year of the Dragon in the format of a soft remake, which includes new visuals, considerable gameplay improvements and other new features in the package — such as reimagined controls and a soundtrack with care that maintains the charm of the originals

For old school fans and new players alike, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is an indispensable experience — even more so now that is available for free through Xbox Game Pass. So no excuses not to give it a try!
