After a long wait due to project postponements and restarts, Deep Silver has finally released Dead Island 2 in 2023. Despite the delay in its debut, it didn’t take long for the studio to make the sequel accessible to a very wide audience — especially those who play on Xbox.
Taking everyone by surprise, Deep Silver announced on its official blog that Dead Island 2 is now available in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate catalog — but only for those who play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, the PC version is not included on this occasion.
“Through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’ll have unlimited access to the base game on Xbox, including co-op functionality. So there’s no need to go it alone — gather your squad and take on the horde together in exciting co-op action,” the statement reads. shared on the game’s official website.
Dead Island 2 was released in April 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, selling more than a million copies in just three days available on the platforms.
