In 2021, Bloober Team launched The Mediuma horror game that had a slightly lower-than-expected reception. Subsequently, the company was responsible for the remake of Silent Hill 2 — and, fortunately, he did very well. Aware of all the mixed reputation it has achieved over the years, now the Polish studio claims that it has stopped making “bad” games.

The statement from the team responsible for Silent Hill 2 to the GameSpot comes right after the announcement of the new house project, Cronos: The New Dawn — a game that they want to replicate the same commercial and critical success achieved with the remake.

“We want to find our niche and we think we’ve found it. Now, we’re just going to evolve with it,” said the remake’s co-director Jacek Zieba. “How this happens is more complex, but it also happens organically, just as it did with Layers of Fear [de 2016]. People at the studio were like, ‘Okay, we’ve made some shitty games before, but we can evolve.'”

“We’ve brought together a team that loves horror,” added the remake’s co-director Wojciech Piejko. “So I think for us it wouldn’t be easy to change [para outros gêneros]and we don’t want to.”

Cronos: The New Dawn had an epic trailer at the Xbox event

After the success of the remake of Silent Hill 2which earned a respectable 86 average points on Metacritic, Bloober Team announced Cronos: The New Dawn. The new project, which arrives in 2025 and is also focused on horror, had a chilling trailer at the Xbox Partner Preview last Thursday (17).

The game tells the story of the Traveler, a mysterious person who crosses different timelines. On one side is a future ravaged by a pandemic and inhabited by monsters of different shapes and sizes — while on the other is communist Poland circa the 1980s. It’s worth remembering that much of the project’s development took place during the pandemic. Covid-19.

The Traveler is tasked with going back in time to rescue certain people who did not survive a catastrophic event, interrupting the timeline to bring them to the future in search of help.

Zieba and Piejko told the GameSpot what Cronos: The New Dawn is inspired by Darka famous Netflix series focused on time travel. A hit with the public, the work has a complex plot that makes any viewer’s head spin. Sounds promising, doesn’t it?

Cronos: The New Dawn will be released sometime in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Looking forward to it? Comment your expectations on social media Voxel!
