Atari 2600+ PAC-Man edition will be released in October with retro look and themed joystick

Plaion Replai, one of the main global developers and distributors of retro software and hardware, in partnership with Atari – one of the most iconic brands of interactive entertainment – today announced the worldwide launch of Atari 2600+ PAC-Man Editiona modern version of the classic console, which hits stores in October 31, 2025.

The new model pays tribute to the historic partnership between Atari and Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., Pac-Man’s original developer, and celebrates Pac-Man’s novel to home consoles for the first time on Atari 2600. The new version of the hardware brings the striking PAC-man style and will be accompanied by a separately paid-colored joysticks line.

This new version of the legendary console reaches the yellow color characteristic of PAC-man, with icons of the lighted characters on the front. The package includes the cartridge PAC-MAN Double Feature and a yellow cx-40 wireless joystick. The product will be available for pre-sale from Wednesday, July 23in the Amazon, for the value of £129,99.

This double cartridge includes two versions of the classic: PAC-MAN 7800a new arcade -style game, and PAC-MAN 2600the original version released for household consoles.

Inspired by the game characters, the joysticks will be available in five colors:

• Yellow (Pac-Man)

• Azul (Inky)

• Red (Blinky)

• Rosa (pinky)

• Orange (Clyde)

Each joystick will cost £29,99 and will also be pre-sold from July 23.

Both Atari 2600+ PAC-Man Edition as Joysticks PAC-MAN CX40+ will be available for pre-sale from July 23on Amazon and the official website of Atari. The launch is scheduled for October 31, 2025and the cartridge PAC-MAN Double Feature will be released separately in 2025.
