Armored Core 6 and More: Weekly Game Releases (8/20)

The week that marks the beginning of Gamescom 2023, the biggest gaming event in Europe, will also be remembered for being one of the busiest in terms of game launches. The big highlight is Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubiconnew game from From Software’s action franchise, which returns to the market after ten years.

Another big highlight is Immortals of Aveum. Eletronic Arts’ Magic FPS is the company’s new bet, after a series of launches that weren’t as successful as expected. Besides him, there is also the arrival of Wrestlequestindie game that mixes RPG elements with wrestling games, promising a fun and emotional storyline for fans of the category.

Already Ride 5 is the new chapter of the famous motorcycle racing game, which arrives for the first time as an exclusive for PCs and new generation consoles. And finally, there is Blasphemous 2sequel to one of the most praised platform action games of recent years, popularly known as “Dark Souls 2D” thanks to its high difficulty. 1. Immortals of Aveum – August 22

Immortals of Aveum it is yet another bet by Electronic Arts to create a new successful franchise, since its most recent titles have not reached the company’s expectations. For that, it brings a game with different mechanics, which mixes FPS elements with magic, something similar to classics from the 90s like witches e Heretic.

In the game, you control Jak, a young man who discovers magical powers and is recruited into a clan of wizards called the Order of Immortals. Once there, he needs to improve his skills to face a real war against evil forces that want to end the world. The game is already on pre-order with prices starting at R$ 319.00.

2. WrestleQuest – August 22

After being postponed on the eve of its launch, to correct some specific problems, finally WrestleQuest will hit stores this week. With a pixel art look, the game mixes RPG elements with those of wrestling, leaving the player to create his own character, with accessories and clothing, customizing the blows that will be used in combat.

Em WrestleQuest, you live in a toy world, where you have to stand out among the fighters and win more and more fans. For that, you need to improve your performance during fights, and create an increasingly exciting spectacle. The game does not yet have a price, but it has a free demo version already available.

3. Ride 5 – August 24th

One of the most famous and successful motorcycle racing franchises will get its new game this week. Ride 5 is a game that features a series of modes, from Career, where you have to evolve in your path as a racing driver, to more common ones, such as simple tests and championships.

The new version, which is exclusive to the current generation of consoles and PC, promises even more realistic graphics, in addition to gameplay that helps new players a lot, since it brings a range of resources that help piloting. The game is already available for pre-order starting at R$299.90. And for those who purchase the Special Edition, you can play Ride 5 three days before the launch, that is, already on the 21st of August.

4. Blasphemous 2 – August 24th

The first Blasphemous shocked the world by bringing a metroidvania-style mechanic, along with a high difficulty like the infamous souls-like. The game quickly became a phenomenon, being one of the most praised of the genre — now it’s time to check out the second chapter of the saga.

The plot takes place after the events of the DLC Wounds of Eventide. This time, the Penitent is again sent through a cycle of life, death, and resurrection. To break this, it will be necessary to explore a new world, and discover the escape in the midst of dark secrets. The game is already available for pre-order starting at R$98.10.

5. Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon – August 25th

One of the most anticipated action games of the year is finally released: Armored Core 6. The title calls attention not only for being the new game from From Software, a company famous for creating the souls-like genre with games like Dark Souls e Elden Ring, but for resurrecting a franchise that had been dormant for ten years. Even if its last chapters have not been as successful as the most current series, the saga of giant robots is very much loved by fans.

Em Fires of Rubicon, the player controls a mercenary who must go to a hostile part of the universe in search of a material called Coral. However, there are other factions and gangs interested, and it is necessary to face combat to complete your tasks and, of course, survive amidst the chaos.
