Alien: Earth gets a new trailer; Series debut on August 12

For fans of Alien’s universe, a new original series is coming under the name of Alien: Earth. For those who are anxious about the project, FX today released a new production trailer, which opens on August 12, 2025 via Hulu, FX and Disney+.

Alien: Earth takes place in 2120, where the earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this corporate age, cyborgs and synthetic coexist with humans.

When the mysterious space research ship USCSS Maginot falls on Earth, Sydney Chandler and a makeshift group of tactical soldiers make a crucial discovery that puts them face to face with the largest threat on the planet. Alien: FX’s Earth is a series created for television and produced by Noah Hawley.

Commenting on where this series fits the timeline, showrunner Noah Hawley said that somewhere near Aliens – James Cameron’s rescue. “You know, I didn’t have to be extremely specific about it, but the events of the first movie are mentioned in the series at some point. So I think it happens at some point near the events of the second movie, either before or soon after.”he commented.

Alien: Earth debuts on August 12, 2025, with the first two episodes being released simultaneously. After that, a new episode will be made available every Tuesday. In all, Alien: Earth will have eight episodes.
