The Diversity of Life on Earth Stag Beetle 12 with Bark Pedestal Figure Set comes with 6 high-fidelity figures representing different types of stag beetles with realistic details and multiple points of articulation to position the specimens in dynamic, real-world poses.
The collection comes with the following types of stag beetles: Odontolabis femoralis (long and short teeth), Odontolabis intermedia (an elegant Asian stag beetle with metallic coloring), Prosopocoilus dissimilis elegans (Japanese subspecies with dark red body and black markings), Dorcus antaeus (one of the largest stag beetles in the world with massive body, extreme strength and intimidating appearance) and Manticora latipennis (actually an African tiger beetle known for its aggressiveness and huge jaws used in hunting).
The Lucanid beetle figures were modeled after real specimens, measure between 8.5 cm and 13 cm and are made of ABS, PVC and PP plastics. The blonde cow set includes a small bark-like pedestal designed to display the figures, replicating their natural habitat.
