Microsoft Gaming will present a new Xbox Dev Direct in January 2026, a broadcast in which it will showcase more of some of its most desired games, including Fable.
Matt Booty revealed to Variety that the January 2026 Direct will have news from Playground Games, Fable and Forza Horizon 6, but prefers to keep the rest of the broadcast schedule a secret, which will continue to focus on showing news of what will be released throughout the year.
Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved are other games scheduled for 2026, but Booty did not confirm them as part of the new Direct, but considering that Xbox will celebrate 25 years of life next year, it is likely that the broadcast will be full of highly anticipated games.
Booty said that “it will be a great year” because in addition to Xbox’s own properties, they will celebrate important anniversaries at Bethesda and Blizzard properties, which will result in a year of excellence for the brand.
According to Booty, “it will really be a benchmark year for the brand and a benchmark year for some of our biggest franchises to showcase themselves across the industry.”
