Super7 has put up for pre-sale a quadruple set of ReAction Rock action figures featuring the original members of the excellent North American hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest.
Tribe Called Quest is one of the most influential groups in the history of hip-hop, formed in the late 1980s in Queens, New York. The group became one of the main names in the Native Tongues collective, known for promoting positive messages, and stood out for combining clever rhymes, humor, everyday lyricism and an innovative musical approach with smooth beats, jazz samples and a laid-back atmosphere that redefined East Coast hip-hop.
The A Tribe Called Quest “People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm” ReAction Figures 4-Pack set comes with the first action figures of the four founding members of the New York group: Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Phife Dawg and Jarobi White. The musicians come dressed in the clothes they appear in in the music video for the great song “I Left My Wallet in El Segundo”, and yes, Q-Tip’s forgotten wallet is also included in the set.
The set pays homage to their acclaimed debut album: People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm from 1990, a landmark in alternative hip-hop.
The retro-style figures measure approximately 9.5 cm (3.75″) tall and have 5 points of articulation each. They are officially licensed and come packaged together in a collector’s box with a window and art inspired by the original album cover.
