Production on Jumanji 3 has officially begun and the saga’s most beloved team is back. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black were seen together on set, dressed in the costumes of their Jumanji alter egos: Bravestone, Mouse, Ruby and Professor Oberon.

In a video shared by Johnson, he appears on his way to the filming location in Los Angeles, which confirms that the shooting will take place entirely in the city. This is a first: the previous films were filmed in Hawaii and Atlanta. This will be the last chapter of the saga, a kind of farewell full of emotions.

On Instagram, Karen Gillan showed her enthusiasm, “am**da just got real.” Johnson dropped a poignant little hint: there will be a homage to the 1995 film Jumanji and, more specifically, to Robin Williams.

According to Sony Pictures, the release date is set for December 11, 2026. Jake Kasdan is back behind the camera as director and co-wrote the script with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.

The most interesting thing is that, from what the image shows, the game’s characters can “escape” into the real world. This is not just another adventure in the Jumanji universe, but a real clash between the game and real life.
