Anshar Studios developers are working on the reimagination of the 2004 FPS classic Payiller, scheduled for October 9 on PC via Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series S | x.

The goal with Payiller is to honor the legacy of classic shooters, maintaining the timeless essence of the game, while updating it to new and old players.

During a conversation, Damian Wyspianski, creative director of Anshar Studios, expressed a desire to see a remake of Oni, an unknown Bungie game, released in 2001.

“It’s a game that went unnoticed at the time, but had some genuinely innovative ideas, such as a furtivity fusion, melee fighting and third -person shot, wrapped in a elegant cyberpunk aesthetics, strongly inspired by Ghost in The Shell.”

“It was ambitious and was ahead of its time, but its complex combat systems often seemed unused, and its 3D controls were clumsy, as the industry was still adjusting.”

Damian Wyspianski believes that a modern remake could finally make the full potential of ONI and present its unique proposal to a new generation.

Despite the statement, there are no current plans for an oni remake or reboot. Developed by Bungie West, Oni was carried to PS2 by Rockstar Canada.
