The invincible series will return in 2026 with its fourth season, but Amazon has already renewed production for a fifth season. However, it seems that fans can still wait for many years of content of this adaptation.
Robert Kirkman, the creator of the invincible franchise, commented during the recent San Diego Comic Con that to adapt all the arches present in the comics, may be necessary up to 9 seasons of the series.
“I think it would take about seven, eight or nine seasons to make the entire arc of the invincible comics. So let’s see. I hope we get there. We received a huge support from Amazon Prime and we couldn’t be happier with the progress of things. So I’m very excited and hopeful about it.”
Kirkman has said earlier that in addition to adapting the arches of the comic, he also hopes to bring new stories that he could not originally create. The fourth season will bring a mix of comic book stories with new material, showing an adventure focused on hell.
Finally, the creator states that all Thragg’s dialogues have already been recorded for the fourth season, but still does not want to reveal to the public who will be the voice behind the great villain of the work.
