Grounded 2 on PS5 and Switch 2? Obsidian implies that yes

During the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, developer Obsidian caught many players by surprise by officially announced Grounded 2 for PC, Xbox Series S | X and Game Pass.

Grounded 2 will be released in advance access format on July 29, 2025 for PC and Xbox, but what about PS5 and Switch 2, will you also receive the game?

During a recent interview, executive producer Marcus Morgan was asked if Grounded 2 will reach other platforms besides PC and Xbox, who smiled and answered.

“I can’t talk about it now. But I’ll say Grounded 1 is on all these platforms, so …” And then he smiled again.

Obsidian makes it clear that it will only release the game when it is really ready, which is positive for fans, as the studio is recognized for its attention to detail.

Grounded 1 was one of Xbox’s first exclusive games to be released on other platforms (PlayStation and Nintendo Switch) last year, so it wouldn’t be strange to see the sequence coming on new platforms.

Grounded 2 will have new mechanics, such as insect mounts, as well as a larger world, Brookhollow Park, with ice dungeons and various biomes.
