Mortal Kombat 1: leak shows cast with 23 fighters! See list

On the eve of the launch, Mortal Kombat 1 suffered a leak that ended up revealing all the fighters on its initial roster. The information came to light supposedly due to the physical edition of Nintendo Switch, which reached consumers earlier than planned. The game officially arrives in September 19 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, while those who pre-order the Premium edition guarantee five-day early access.

The images confirm that the game features 23 selectable fighters at first, but only one appears hidden by a silhouette. There are also chances that it is a random character selection, but there is no confirmation yet.

The images also reveal the Kameos, which are assistance characters selectable from a cast separate from the main one and which are at the center of the new battle systems. Check out the complete list below:

As per tradition, Mortal Kombat 1 will feature a Kombat Pack that will add new playable characters and Kameos to the cast. The first has already been officially revealed by NetherRealm Studios and features the following fighters:

There are still one alleged leak indicating the figures that should appear in the second Kombat Pack, but there is still no confirmation from the developer. The rumor suggests that the package will include the following names:

It is interesting to note that some Kameos appear blocked in the leaked images. This may be related to the new single-player Invasions mode, which should serve as a means of unlocking new content in the game.

Furthermore, Mortal Kombat 1 promises a cinematic story mode that does justice to the history of the series and that should delve into the developments of the new timeline inaugurated by Liu Kang, now God of Fire and Thunder. For this reason, several classic characters from the franchise are back with new origin stories and even completely different personalities.
