Quite a feat, as the trailer Red-Band (trailer for adult audiences) from Mortal Kombat 2 reached 106.8 million world views in the first 24 hours after its launch on July 17, 2025, establishing a record as the most watched Red-Band trailer during this period.

The Mortal Kombat 2 movie trailer was released in 68 countries and 47 languages, expanding its global reach. It exceeded other trailers Red-Band, such as The Suicide Squad (58.5 million views), Deadpool 2 (52 million) and the trailer for the first Mortal Kombat of 2021 (47 million).

Mortal Kombat’s first film (2021), directed by Simon Mcquoid, had 116 million views in his first week, exceeding Logan and Deadpool 2 in four days, and raised $ 23.3 million in the premiere, despite the simultaneous launch at HBO Max.
