“I’m very happy for them,” says actor Charlie Cox about Clair Obscur’s success

Actor Charlie Cox is known for his role as Daredevil. However, he recently gained prominence by playing Gustave, one of the characters of the acclaimed game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Despite the success of the title, it seems that the actor is not very familiar with the project.

When asked about the Esquie character, Cox replied: “Just to know, who is Esquie? I don’t know who this is.” He explains that his participation in the project was just four hours of recording. Also, he comments that he does not usually play video games, being Mario 64 probably the last game he played.

The surprise for Cox came after the release, when he began to be recognized in public not only for the role in Daredevil, but also for the character who dubbed in the game. Nevertheless, this is the second time the actor claims to feel a fraud for recognition, as he considers that his work was much lower compared to the effort of the rest of the team and has not even recognized who Gustave was.

Suddenly people are talking to me about this all the time. I was with my children and people recognized me. I assumed it was about Daredevil. And they said: “You are Gustave”. And I answered, “who?” People are telling me that, and I feel like a fraud, because I just did my voice. But it’s so cool, I’m so happy for these guys. They are not a big company that makes a lot of games. And I heard it’s a favorite to win the game prize of the year, it’s very cool. ”

Still, Cox says he expects to take a console to be able to play the title.
