Assassin’s Creed Shadows exceeded € 100 million in development costs, reveals Ubisoft

Recently, the Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemotattended a meeting with shareholders, during which he made several controversial statements. However, one of the interesting points was the approximate revelation of the development budget Assassin’s Creed Shadowsthe newest franchise title.

According to information from the portal Game Filewhen asked about the project budget, Guillemot only stated that the budget exceeded € 100 million (approximately US $ 116 million). Although the CEO has not wished to reveal complete costs, it is likely that the total value is much higher than this.

The value mentioned also refers only to the development of the game, without including spending on marketingthat, as in other major releases, were probably quite high. It is still necessary to remember that 14 Ubisoft studios even supported the game.

The last official update on the performance of the title was the landmark of 3 million players in the first week.
