Quantic Dream developer has disappeared from the map and all that is known is that the studio is busy developing Star Wars Eclipse, a new announced in 2021 that has since disappeared.
A new French Fiscal Credit Report in favor of Game Companies has revealed interesting information involving quantic Dream Star Wars eclipse budgets, as well as Arkane Marvel’s Blade.
For example, the report mentions that Star Wars Eclipse has a preliminary budget of almost 100 million euros, while a game produced by Arkane Studios, approved in 2023 (which is certainly Marvel’s Blade), has a budget over 94 million euros.
“This is the case of the Star Wars Eclipse game of the French Quantic Dream studio, approved in 2021 with a preliminary budget of almost 100 million euros, with 73 million euros in spending in France are distributed from 2022 to 2025.”
“This dynamic should continue, considering the ambitious games approved since 2023, as is the case of a new game produced by Arkane Studios, approved in 2023 with a budget of over 94 million euros, 91 million euros in spending in France between 2023 and 2026.”
The report notes that the Fiscal Credit for Game Companies (CIJV) has become the main support for game development in France. Thanks to the reform, the annual fiscal spending rose from 13 million euros (2016) to 66 million (2023) and the number of games benefited almost quadrupled, reaching 144.
The total budget of the supported games has also grown from 95 million to 348 million euros during this period.
