Ghost of Yotei is the next major release of PlayStation 5, which in recent days, has received several news released by Sucker Punch Productions developers themselves.

Anyone who has had a chance to play Ghost of Tsushima or saw a video, should be remembered that the game features a posture system, where each is indicated to face each type of enemy.

However, unlike Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei will not have the posture system. Sucker Punch has opted for a more layer combat system, prioritizing improvisation to offer a more dynamic experience.

Ghost of Yotei

“With Ghost of Yotei, we add a lot more layers to create a more makeshift feeling in combat. It’s deep! We replaced the weapon posture system, actually added a fifth weapon, and these weapons are more than a simple visual exchange.”

Nate Fox, Yotei’s creative director, points out that the game allows you to throw enemies with the spear, attack various targets with Kusigama and use a disarm mechanics that makes the combat more dynamic.

He cites, for example, the situation of losing his own gun on a bridge and having to get that of an enemy, something that expands the feeling of improvisation already seen in the counterattacks of Ghost of Tsushima.

The protagonist Atu will use various weapons, such as Katana, Launches, Kusrigama, double swords and even rudimentary firearms, each with unique skills.

Ghost of Yotei will be released on October 2, 2025 for PS5. Take the opportunity to purchase your copy at Amazon with a lower price than on PSN.
