Guilty Gear is a popular fighting game franchise developed by Arc System Works that has received several titles over the years, but it seems that a new project no longer exists.

According to Insider Gaming, a new Guilty Gear game, which was under development by Arc System Works, has been canceled recently in recent weeks.

No specific reasons for cancellation were provided, according to anonymous sources. The portal contacted the ARC System Works for comments, but has no response to date.

“The game (Guilty Gear) had not yet been officially announced. However, when asked what this meant for the franchise’s future, a source said it was’ back to stake, but from what, from what you knew, the project was not completed yet.”

Guilty Gear is a fighting game franchise that started in 1998 on PlayStation, with seven main games and six spin-offs released so far. The latest game, Guilty Gear Strive, was released in 2021.

The franchise also got an anime under the name of Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers.
