To date, Microsoft has not yet confirmed the existence of a Halo remake: Combat Evolved, but rumors are in full swing on the internet, including one recently revealing unpublished information.
As reported by Youtuber and Insider Rebsgaming, Halo’s remake: Combat Evolved will be exclusively focused on campaign mode without including a multiplayer mode.
The remake appears to be related to Project Foundry, a Halo Studios initiative using Unreal Engine 5, suggesting a Combat Evolved base.
The project started in 2023 and is planned to be launched in 2026 as part of a birthday project. The obvious platforms that should receive the remake are PC and Xbox, but there is a chance to be released on PlayStation.
The upcoming franchise’s main game, Halo 7, is pre-production and should be an indirect sequence, scheduled for the next generation Xbox consoles.
Halo Studios should reveal more about the future of the franchise at Halo World Championships in October in Seattle.
