Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was originally released in November 2024 for PC and Xbox Series x | s. At the time, the GSC Game World studio had stated that the exclusivity agreement would last only three months, but this period passed without any official announcement to the PlayStation 5.
Playstation players are now finally reasons to celebrate: the developer has confirmed that Stalker 2 will be released to the PS5 at the end of 2025.
According to the studio, the game will feature a complete port for the Sony console, with full support for Dualsense resources – including tactile feedback and adaptive triggers – to offer an even more immersive experience. In addition, the title will be optimized for the PS5 Pro.
In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Chernobyl’s exclusion zone changed dramatically after the second major explosion in 2006. Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, and war factions made the zone an extremely difficult place to survive. Even so, unimaginable value artifacts attracted many people named stalkers, who entered the zone on their own, seeking to make fortune or even find the truth hidden in the heart of Chernobyl.
Take the role of a lonely stalker and explore a continuous and photorealist open world in a giant radioactive zone, with a variety of environments that reveal the post-apocalyptic atmosphere from different perspectives. Proceed through the area to define your destination while choosing your ways in a highly branched epic story.
